dc.description.abstract “In taking into account the 1st Quadrennial Pacific Sustainable Development Report which tracks the region’s progress in realizing the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, the SIDS Accelerated Modalities of Action (S.A.M.O.A) Pathway and other global commitments, Leaders committed to ensuring that sustainable development in the region is achieved on its terms and in a way that recognizes the region’s rich culture, national circumstances, and oceanic resources. Leaders endorsed the first Quadrennial Pacific Sustainable Development Report in 2018 as the Pacific region’s Sustainable Development Report on the 2030 Agenda, S.A.M.O.A Pathway and other global commitments, recognizing that it will support Leaders’ participation at the 2019 UN General Assembly Special Summit on the 2030 Agenda and the S.A.M.O.A Pathway Mid Term Review, including the remaining preparatory processes.” (Forum Leaders Communique, 2018) en_US
