Examining the relationship between violence against women and violence against children in the South Pacific

Abstract

This report is the result of an extensive desk review of existing data sources on violence against women and children in the Pacific. The report was compiled and analyzed by Claudia Milucci whose tremendous drive and energy have been critical to its completion. Claudia worked closely with Maha Muna (Gender Adviser, UNFPA), Dr Henrica A.F.M. (Henriette) Jansen (UNFPA), Melissa Alvarado (Gender Adviser, UNWOMEN), Dr Andreaa Torre (Lecturer at USP), Stephanie Chiu, Andrea Knuth, Greg Grimsich (UNOCHA). The UNICEF Pacific team also provided support, in particular: Amanda Bissex (Chief of Child Protection, UNICEF), Tomas Jensen (Communication Specialist, UNICEF), Carmen Monclus Gorones (Child Protection Specialist, UNICEF).
