The Chronology of mountain settlements of Tutuila, American Samoa

Abstract

The mountain ridgetop settlements in Tutuila, American Samoa, attributed by Samoans to a legendary period of warfare with the Tongans that is said to date between the 10th and 13th centuries is investigated. An analysis of these investigations is presented.
